Katsuhiro Otomo

Born in 1954, Katsuhiro Otomo began working as a cartoonist in 1973. In 1983 he published the manga A Child’s Dream  (Domu) and Akira, still considered a masterpiece. Akira was turned into an animated film of the same name in 1988. The omnibus film Memories (1995) and the colossal Steamboy (2004) were produced based on his manga.

Clément Oubrerie

Born in Paris in 1966, Clément Oubrerie is French illustrator and other of many children’s books. In 2005 he created, with Marguerite Abouet, the graphic novel of Aya of Yop City, for which he also curated the drawings for the subsequent volumes. His other work includes the comic adaptation of Zazie in the Métro (Zazie dans le metro), Raymond Queneau’s novel. In 2007 he founded, along with Joann Sfar and Antoine Delsvaux, Autochenille Production, which produced the animated film The Rabbi’s Cat (Le Chat du Rabbin). 

Mamoru Oshii

Mamoru Oshii was born on August 8, 1951 in Tokyo, Japan. He is a director and writer, known for Ghost in the Shell (1995), SuperLamù (1981) and Ghost in the Shell 2 (2004).
