Through the Future Film Festival Digital Award, FFF would like to find out and promote the most remarkable Italian works with 3D animation, so that they could enlarge the general view on the production in that sector. The contest takes place inside the Future Film Festival context. The award, which has become an essencial meeting both to all professional and to Italian production and post-production societies, was born in year 2000, with the purpose of promoting and giving value to the Italian animation production and cinema with special effects. The contest is reserved to Italian works belonging to the categories sport, videoclip, mobile shoots, technic-scientific shoots, TV theme songs and videogames, which could partially or entirely contain 3D images. The prize-giving cerimony of Future Film Festival Digital Award 2008 took place during the last edition of Future Film Festival (Jan 15th - 20th 2008), in collaboration with Autodesk. The jury, composed by national and international guests of the FFF, awarded Alibi by Anthony Lamolinara (Direct2Brain) - first prize, and Making of di “Carnera” by Renzo Martinelli (EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani) - second prize.
