The Oscar nominee Chico and Rita at FFF 2012

In the day of the Academy Award Nominations announcement, we are proud to announce that Chico & Rita, nominated as Best Animated Film, will be one of the Future Film Festival 2012 Premières.

A gifted songwriter and beautiful singer chase their dreams – and each other – from Havana to New York and Las Vegas. Chico is a young piano player with big dreams. Rita is a beautiful singer with an extraordinary voice. Music and romantic desire unite them, but their journey – in the tradition of the Latin ballad– brings heartache and torment.
